The service. The JVal Valuer Community is a discussion forum for professional jewellery valuers, students and the trade, provided by the creators of JVal (UK).

Membership. Applications are reviewed by a moderator before access is granted. Provide accurate information when registering, keep your login secure, and maintain one account per person. We may decline, suspend or remove membership where these terms or the Community Guidelines are not met.

Your conduct. The pinned Community Guidelines form part of these terms. In short: peer discussion, not formal advice; never any client information; courtesy and good faith at all times. You must not post anything unlawful, defamatory, infringing or malicious.

Your content. You own what you post. By posting, you grant JVal a non-exclusive licence to display and distribute your content within the forum. Don’t post material you don’t have the right to share.

No professional advice. Nothing on this forum is formal valuation, legal or financial advice. Responsibility for any valuation always remains with the signing valuer.

Liability. The forum is provided “as is”, without warranty. To the fullest extent permitted by law, JVal and its creators accept no liability for loss arising from use of the forum or reliance on its content.

Moderation and changes. Moderators may edit, move or remove content, and we may update these terms as the community evolves — significant changes will be announced on the forum.

Governing law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
